I just got the results for my promotional exams and I don't even get one A grade, R.I.P my future.
also I dropped from 80 to a 67.5 in English kms //ugly sobbing

My Review on 'A Little Princess' by Frances Hodgson Burnett

I know, I haven't updated this blog in ages (mostly because I was way too lazy to write anything, oops). But now I'm back with a book review! It's a review of the wonderful classic A Little Princess by Frances Hodgson Burnett.

Maldives Traditional Dress

Traditional Mundu and Ganjufaraas (t-shairt)

Traditionally men wore a length of cloth wrapped around the waist, known as mundu (lungi in South Asia region). It was tied at the waist with a string or a piece of cloth, and hung to the feet. Traditionally men did not cover the top half of their bodies but later on people started wearing T-shirts and long sleeved shirts.

The traditional women's dress consisted of a lower garment known as a feyli or kandiki (a full length skirt, worn wrapped around the waist). On top of this a dress with long sleeves, known as libaas, which reached down to the knees was worn.

I told you about posting some pictures of the salon TODAY ... Right? As said in the heading the name is Kokki's Style Kutz. 

The only kids salon in Maldives. And it is amazing!!!
I'll try to peek in for some hair styles and nails after this.

Just another normal day at my house. 
For a change I started the day with facebook. Clears my mind a bit.

The Hols.

Have you ever found holidays so boring?
I have. This is one of the most-boring-est days ever!!!
You would think why. You see I love to play games and electronics. Not most like other tween kids who use their imaginations :P .
I hate it. Besides other years it was way much fun and !!SUPERMEGATOTALLYTHRILLADELIC!!
Right now?  I just can't figure out why it is so boring :( .
By the way, I got a new laptop. It is an ASUS brand. It cant get internet connection so I won't use it for now.

My brother has gone down with a viral cold that has been spreading around. I'm good but also have a higher chance of getting it!!

Let's hope not!!!!

The Impressive Moon? 

The moon goes all around the earth in 27.32 days. And it spins around its axis at almost the same speed. So while it is revolving around the earth, it is also spinning at the same speed.The moon is facing the same face all the time. In fact, no man had ever seen the far side of the moon until a Russian probe went behind in 1959 and sent back photographs of the hidden half!

Did Mermaids Really Exist?

Much as we would like to believe in them, these fairy tale creatures were just that. Vivid manifestations of our imagination. Popular theory goes that, sailors saw creatures called manatees or sea cows and mistook them for women. They have a human-like facial appearance. So seen from distance, manatee might have sparked the mermaid legend!

Why are Clams Like Trees?

Because the no. of rings on their outer surface indicates how old they are. This discovery was made by Dr. Ida Thompson of Princeton University after ten years of research. Each year, the clam produces a ring on the outer shell. These annual rings are visible to the naked eye on the surf clam, but not on others like the quahog and the sea clam.

Can a Tree Give Directions?

If you ever get lost in the forest, take a hard look at the trees. In the northern hemisphere, the tree has more leaves on the southern side. The tops of the trees also lean to the south. The bark of the tree is lighter and brighter on the south side too. But the moss growing at the base of the tree will always point to north!! Take a hard look!

Well the starting of the day is normal... I watched a film called Judy Moody AND THE NOT Bummer Summer. I love it. Do you watch it?
Today's Friday and its the holiday which I always wanted to come. A free day it has always been... I cant wait to start the day!

On Sunday Math test.
So there! Practice practice... Tell me what to do next! I hate to practice. Some times (maybe always) I even fall asleep! I guess you are waiting for my exams to finish so that I could publish more posts. Yeah I'm also looking forward to it. I guess I'll be with my Lappy (laptop)  all day!

Blame Exams!

I haven't written so much because exams were returning every day this week. I'm happy that the subject I hate most is coming next week Sunday. It's Maths. I'll try to write some thing in the coming 2 days (Friday and Saturday)

• English was 'V.Good'. It's the graphic stimulus I was worried about. I think one answer will be wrong.

• Science was OKAY OKAY. I got mixed up with experiment write ups title and the Bulb experiment but I'm sure it's the right answer.

• Social was good. I think I'll get 99 from Social Studies.

So wish me luck for my hard Maths Test!

Nothing exciting happened at school that I could write here but a holiday is coming up tomorrow. Well . . .
Today I have to go to Table Tennis today and I've got a test coming up on Tuesday.

I've got news.

First School Week.

Well,
School started and today is the last day of the first week of school. I met new friends. Each of the ones I met was completely talented funnily and they tell jokes in recess which everyone bursts into hysterical laughter! Whatever the day nor the week it was fun. The next week will be a very busy, changing week. More hard work. More new friends. More hysterics. More fun plus jokes!
